Materials Testing Technician

WHS is seeking a  Materials Testing Technician to be part of our growing team based out of our Lander, WY office. Our lab offers support for all public and private projects delivering testing expertise for a wide range of municipal, commercial, oil/gas, and industrial clients. RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Will perform field inspections and observations of roadways, structures, and construction projects;

•  Will perform soil, concrete, aggregate, and masonry testing;

•  Will interact with client representative at project sites;

•  Will monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications;

•  Will provide daily reports of observation and test results;

•  Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of testing data;

•  Must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds;

•  Must be able to work in variable outside conditions;

•  Must be a self-starter and be able to perform tasks with little or no supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Valid Driver’s License;

•  Reliability- must be able to arrive t project sites prior to scheduled times;

•  Must be able to prepare reports and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+years of Materials Testing experience;

•  ACI (American Concrete Institute) certification;

•  ACI Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1;

•  WYDOT Asphalt Concrete Technician;

•  WYDOT Soils and Aggregate Technician.
